Wolves Hope to Catch Clyde Valley Blackhawks Cold

The Edinburgh Wolves are back in action this weekend and will hope to keep up their recent winning form as they host division topping side Clyde Valley Blackhawks on Sunday.

Clyde Valley are undefeated so far this season and defeated the Wolves 26-13 when the sides met earlier this season. The Blackhawks look certain to make the playoffs while the Wolves are currently sitting second and need a victory to secure their place in the playoffs as one of the top runners up.

The Wolves will be hoping however that the Blackhawks come into the game cold having not played for over 5 weeks, while the Edinburgh side have had a busy summer and are currently enjoying an impressive 5 game winning streak.

This is sure to be a highly contested game, with both teams averaging over 30 points scored per game. This game will not just be about attack however as both defences will need to limited any of their opponents scoring chances.

Callum Innes scored the last touchdown in last weekend’s win over Dundee Hurricanes, his first for the club in over seven years service. He’ll be hoping he can quickly add another winning score for his side.

The game kicks off at 2:30pm on Sunday at Meadowbank with tickets costing £4 while concession are just £1. The Wolves hope a big capital support comes along to help cheer them on.
