Today we challenged our players to take the last 3 practice sessions effort and tempo into the game, from the first snap to the final whistle we wanted them to attack and not let Dundee off the hook. mission accomplished, 78-2.
This was the Wolves all time highest score in a game and best net points difference too. I thought the defense was outstanding today and held Dundee to no 1st downs in the first half and that was as dominant a defensive performance as I have ever seen from a Wolves team…ever.
The offense weren’t slouches either and Jamie Morrison was outstanding at leading them .The Offensive Line gave him all the time he needed to take Dundee’s defense to bits.
At the half time interval I reminded the players that we have been where Dundee were at the half, we know what it feels like and we must keep piling on the pressure for all 4 quarters and learn how to FINISH games out.
With nearly a month until our next game we have time to recuperate, watch film and get our season back on track. All in all we were hugely improved on all 3 phases of the game but we know sterner tests await us, but we’re ready.
