Wolves beat Tigers 26-16

Today’s game was a massively important one for the team, not only was it a memorial game for Calum Veitch but after recent defeats we had to get back to winning ways. We made changes on defense to counter the Glasgow offense that I felt worked for most of the game, making Glasgow throw instead of run and putting them on the backfoot.

Our offense was directed fantastically by QB Jamie Morrison and contributing well we had running back Steve Wilson and Wide Receivers Duncan Tanner and Stu Galloway.

Glasgow played a tough game and came back strong in the second half but the Wolves scored late and the defense held on for the win.

It was great to have the fans cheer us on and support the team and the win was even more important with the attendance of Calum Veitch’s parents who were delighted with the win and the support for their son.

The Wolves next game is Saturday 29 June at Meadowbank against Dundee Hurricanes, tickets are available for £3 for adults and only £1 for kids, hope to see you all there.
