Wolves v Shropshire Preview

The Edinburgh Wolves play there penultimate game of the regular season on Saturday the 18th of July at Meadowbank Stadium.

The Wolves are undefeated since there loss to Merseyside Nighthawks at the start of the season and after the victory over Clyde valley the Wolves are now guaranteed a home playoff game.

The Wolves are taking on a Shropshire side who haven’t won all season and are languishing in the basement of the division 1 North conference.

The Shropshire offence will be going up a Wolves defence that is statistically the best in division 1. The Wolves Defensive line should be at full strength once again with the return of captain Ejike Wosu.

With the Shropshire offence giving up 39 points a game the Wolves offence will be looking to put points on the board and send the Wolves supporters home happy and entertained.

Veteran Linebacker Robbie Charles urged the Wolves to avoid complacency however “Shropshire have shown themselves to be a capable football team throughout their illustrious history. The beauty of this sport is that is any given Sunday the underdog can flourish.

Our job is to ensure that doesn’t happen, even though the game is on a Saturday.”

Kick off is at 2:30pm and we encourage all fans to come to the game wearing red to show your support for the Wolves.
