Wolves March To 10-0
On Sunday the Edinburgh Wolves made the arduous journey down to Leeds to face the Yorkshire Rams at the John Charles Stadium for Sport.
The Wolves came into the day knowing that they would have playoff football. However if they lost they would fall from number one in the national rankings down to number 3.
The match started off as a cagey affair with the vaunted Yorkshire defence able to pick off an errant throw by Jamie Morrison on the first offensive drive.
However after that mistake it was smooth sailing for the Wolves.
Jason Gray started the scoring for the wolves after he tackled the rams punter in the back of the endzone.
An excellent deep reception by Adam Ingram was then punched in by Steve Wilson to extend the wolves lead to 9-0.
The rams offence managed to put together a long drive, however it ended unsuccessfully when the field goal attempt was snuffed out.
The Wolves again pushed ahead with a touchdown from Stuart Galloway and a 2 point reception by Adam Ingram.
The Wolves came out of halftime leading 17-0 .
The QB again found Ingram for a big reception and the Wolves now lead 24-0, Ingram having a huge performance on the day which secured him his second Fireball MVP of the season.
The Rams managed to get on the board after some generous officiating for the home side put them down on the wolves 5 yard line. The last score of the game went to Jamie Morrison as he ran in to make it 31-7.
The Wolves now enter the playoffs as the number 1 seed in division 1 and will face the Nottingham Caesars on the 7th of August at Peffermill.
